The Zinc 96 Prince and Princess of the Mountain will be run on Saturday 21 July at 2pm.
The 3.4km track from the Lions Den on Mountain St to the base of the mountain is designed for 9-13 year olds (Competitors race as per their age on the day) as a lead up race for children interested in the King of the Mountain challenge.
Briefing / Payment time – 1pm
Cost $5 includes sausage sizzle. Have correct money for payment on the day or at training session with your form – please staple money to form.
If you would like your child to participate, registration forms must be completed by 5pm, Thursday 19 July and emailed to race coordinator at email@example.com.
Money can be paid on the day. Registrations prior to the event by downloading form below.
The track will begin at the Cooroy Pomona Lions Den, 2 Mountain St, Pomona, through the forest, to the base of the mountain, along the walking track connecting back to the forest track, finishing at the Lions Den.
Fantastic prizes on offer:-
⦁ 1st Prince and Princess of the Mountain – Trophy and $50 prize money
⦁ 2nd Prince and Princess – medal and $30 prize money
⦁ 3rd Prince and Princess – medal and $20 prize money
⦁ All winners in male and female age categories will receive a medal on the day.
The Prince and Princess winners will be presented their trophies and prize money on the day (Saturday) and will be invited to the Bendigo Bank International Mountain Challenge trophy presentation on Sunday 22 July at 4pm on the main stage.
This is an opportunity for the Prince and Princess to be acknowledged and great photo opportunity (Prince & Princess to bring trophy to presentation on Sunday).
Leslie Saunders, who will be conducting training days on the track once a month. Training day to be Thursday 3.15pm meeting at the Lions Den on Mountain Street, Pomona.
