Zinc Prince & Princess of the Mountain 2017

The Inaugural Prince and Princess of the Mountain will be run on Saturday 22 July 2017 at 2pm.

The 3.4km track from the Lions Den on Mountain St to the base of the mountain is designed for 9-13 year olds (born 2003-2007) as a lead up race for children interested in the King of the Mountain challenge.

The track will begin at the Lions Den, through the forest, to the base of the mountain, along the walking track connecting back to the forest track, finishing at the Lions Den. The Inaugural Prince and Princess of the Mountain will be run on Saturday 22 July 2017 at 2pm.

The Prince and Princess winners will be presented their trophies and prize money prior to the Bendigo Bank International Mountain Challenge trophy presentation on Sunday 23rd July at 4pm on the main stage. For 2017 there is no entry fee, and with fantastic prizes on offer –

1st   Prince and Princess of the Mountain – Trophy and $50 prize money

2nd Prince and Princess – medal and $30 prize money

3rd Prince and Princess – medal and $20 prize money

All winners in male and female age categories will receive a medal.

The idea is the brainchild of current Queen of the Mountain Leslie Saunders, who will be conducting training days on the track once a month. Training day to be Thursday 3.15pm meeting at the Lions Den on Mountain Street, Pomona. All parents must stay for the training.
