This event is designed for the up and coming junior and senior Mountain Challengers, takes the same course as the Mountain Challenge as far as the base of the mountain, 1.4 km, and back again, making it a total of 2.8km.  The course is a combination of bitumen roads and a good cross-country track.

Starting from the centre of town the route takes you up and around the park, onto the track towards the mountain to the base of the Mountain and back to the park.

So if you would like to run the Mountain Challenge, but don’t feel quite up to it, this is the race for you!  Entry fee is $5 for under 18 and $10 for those over 18.  Join the fun, challenge yourself but leave enough energy to enjoy the rest of the day.

The Mountain Dash commences at 1 pm sharp at the Start/Finish Line.

Registration for the event starts at 12 noon.

Applications can be downloaded, printed and signed and brought to the Registration tent on the day.

There are 3 categories, under 15, under 18 and over 18 male and female  The winner of each category receives a prize thanks to the sponsor of the race, Zinc 96.1.  http://www.radiozinc.com.au/sunshine
