The Pomona King of the Mountain is run by the Cooroy Pomona Lions Inc as a free not-for profit event, thanks to the generosity of its funding partners and sponsors.
Held on the 4th Sunday in July each year, the Pomona King of the Mountain Festival its celebrating 41 years as a community-based festival held in the Noosa Hinterland township of Pomona.
The King of the Mountain Committee and members of the Lions Club give their time freely to make this event happen and to support the local community. Any funds raised by the Cooroy Pomona Lions Club go directly back to the local community through donations and gifts.
The King of the Mountain Festival provides opportunities for smaller clubs and organisations in the Noosa Hinterland to raise much-needed funds.
Volunteers are always needed on the day and on the days leading up to the festival, so your service would be greatly appreciated.
